Rising above Bangkok’s skyline at One City Centre (OCC), Akara Sky Hanuman redefines immersive entertainment by blending Thai cultural storytelling with cutting-edge audiovisual design. Combined with the Void Acoustics sound system by Aura Visual System.

Located across Floors 58, 59, and 61, this landmark destination is recognized as the world’s first and highest Thai sky experience, offering visitors a multi-sensory journey through Thailand’s past, present, and future—set against breathtaking panoramic city views.

To support this ambitious vision, Aura Visual System was entrusted with the complete design and installation of the venue’s audio system, deploying Void Acoustics throughout all three floors to deliver a cohesive, immersive, and emotionally engaging soundscape.

Akara Sky Hanuman is conceived as more than a rooftop venue. The project embraces an immersive art concept, using sound, light, architecture, and interactive installations to tell uniquely Thai stories. Inspired by Hanuman, the legendary figure from the Ramakien epic, the venue invites visitors to explore cultural narratives through contemporary interpretation—while standing more than 200 meters above Bangkok.

The audio system plays a vital role in shaping this experience, ensuring that each zone carries its own identity while remaining sonically connected as a single journey.

Aura Visual System was responsible for the entire sound system across three floors, each with different architectural conditions, acoustic requirements, and operational needs. The project was a continuation of a long-standing relationship with the client, who entrusted Aura Visual System to deliver a solution that balanced:

Floor 58 serves as the entry point to Akara Sky Hanuman and introduces visitors to the immersive art narrative.

For general circulation and background music throughout the floor, Void Cirrus 6.1 ceiling loudspeakers were deployed extensively, providing even, unobtrusive coverage along walkways and exhibition areas.

One of the key spaces on this floor is Siam Society, a refined lounge designed for afternoon tea during the day and live music experiences in the evening. The mood transitions seamlessly from jazz bar ambience to live jam sessions featuring Thai instruments, piano, and DJ performances.

The sound system was tuned to complement the space’s visual identity—traditional Thai mural-inspired artwork blended with modern design elements.

Also spanning Floors 58 and 59 is Bangkok Reflection, an immersive mirrored environment that plays with light, reflection, and panoramic city views, including vistas of the Chao Phraya River. Here again, Cirrus 6.1 loudspeakers provide ambient sound while being custom-finished to visually blend with glass surfaces and interior materials.

On Floor 58, the Virtual Sky Lantern zone evokes Northern Thai traditions, using audio as an atmospheric layer that enhances the visual storytelling.

Just a few steps up from the 58th floor, you'll find Hanuman Cinema. Experience the Taste of Thailand, a curated dining journey across four regions, presented through the signature Thailand Flavor Map. Also enjoy a short film on Hanuman and the cycle of life under the sky dome, paired with an immersive sound system by Void Acoustics Venu 8.

Floor 59 continues the immersive journey with Virtual Loy Krathong, an interactive installation that reimagines one of Thailand’s most cherished festivals. Visitors design their own digital krathongs, which are scanned and animated to float within the immersive environment.

This floor combines Void Venu 8 V2, Venu 112 V2, and Cirrus 6.1 loudspeakers to balance clarity, immersion, and spatial depth—ensuring sound supports interactivity without overpowering the experience.

The highlight of Akara Sky Hanuman is Floor 61, the rooftop destination crowned by a monumental Hanuman sculpture—a striking visual icon visible as guests emerge from the elevators.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by Void Air Motion V2 loudspeakers, custom-finished in a copper tone to blend seamlessly with the tunnel-like architectural transition. As guests move through the “mouth of Hanuman” into the open rooftop, the system transitions to a more powerful, performance-oriented configuration.

The rooftop also features a DJ performance area, supported by Void Air 8 monitors, custom-colored to match the copper aesthetic of the Air Motion units.

At the far end of the rooftop, Sky Thai Night Market completes the experience, with Cyclone 55 loudspeakers providing durable, IP-rated background-to-foreground sound suitable for outdoor conditions.
