Tucked away in Bangkok’s historic Phra Nakhon district, Yayyyyy Bar is more than just a vinyl bar — it’s a revival of local heritage.

The venue is housed in an old shophouse once owned by Grandma Anong, a beloved figure in the neighborhood who ran a small grocery store here decades ago. Her store was more than a place to shop — it was a social hub, a place where neighbors met, shared stories, and built connections.

To honor that legacy, founder Sama named the venue “Yayyyyy Bar”, playfully inspired by the Thai word for "grandma" (yay, ยาย), breathing new life into this treasured space.

The bar was born from a shared love for vinyl records. Each contributor to the bar's collection brings a unique taste in music — resulting in an eclectic blend of genres, from vintage Thai, city pop, and hip-hop to gritty rock and soul.

Naturally, with vinyl being known for its warm, true-to-source sound, the bar needed an audio setup that could preserve that richness in every spin.
