Kimpton Bar Yard at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok Hotel

Bar.Yard is a stunning award-winning rooftop bar on the 40th floor of the Kimpton Mat Lai in downtown Bangkok.

They recently required a full overhaul of the audio system to achieve more flexibility and more consistent tonality and level over the whole of the indoor/outdoor split venue as the initial sound system was not able to provide it.

Naturally, Aura Visual was on hand to provide an updated system featuring Void Acoustics Cyclone and Venu series loudspeakers. The indoor area features a live band area, together with live DJs every night, so a combination of the Venus 215 subwoofer with the Cyclone 10 loudspeaker were deployed to provide ample bass response for any event.

Outdoors, the IP55 rated Cyclone 55 loudspeakers and Cyclone Bass subwoofer were deployed to ensure trouble free use for years to come.

Meanwhile, the system backbone comprised the Allen and Heath AHM 16 to allow the staff easy control of the system, either from the front panel or from the Custom Control application.
